Mercredi 19 août 2009 - Evoloko Joker libéré.L'artiste a bénéficé, comme 50 autres détenus, d'une mesure de libérté conditionnelle.
Evoloko est un homme libre depuis ce mercredi! Ceux qui ont fait le déplacement ce mercredi à la prison centrale de Makala dans la commune de Selembâo, ont vécu ce moment historique, comme moi.
Evoloko Joker, incarcéré depuis 18 mois pour une affaire de viol sur mineur au pavillon 8 du centre pénitentiaire de Makala, a vécu ses derniers instants de prisonniers avec ses fans et ses amis de la première heure de Zaiko Langa Langa. Du fidèle Papa Wemba qui lui rendait visite régulièrement, à Mbuta Mashakado et Bimi Ombale -deux frères en christ- en passant par Ilo Pablo, du manager du clan Langa langa Papy Tolas, à Ben Nyamabo, Simarro Massiya Lutumba ou Nsaka Kongo de l'ONG Artiste en danger,  en passant par les inséparables Lokuli et Ngalufard, et bien sûr des chevaliers de la plume, dont l'inévitable Zacle, producteur et présentateur des infos "Lingala facile", tous étaient là.
Pour une fois, la grande famille des artistes historiques - 2e et 3e générations -affichait sa solidarité sans faux fuyants. Deux absents à ce rendez-vous - Jossart Nyoka Longo et Koffi Olomidé- pour des raisons que je suppose impérieuses.
En tout cas, autour de la place centrale de la prison où s'est déroulée la cérémonie de remise en liberté conditionnelle d'Evoloko, la satisfaction était sur tous les visages.
Pour ne rien rater de la cérémonie, j'ai choisi de me mettre à côté de Yaya Brown, Mbuta Mashakado, celui là même, qui m'a soufflé l'info la veille au soir, bien avant que Zacle de l'annonce à la cantonade: "José, prépare ton matos, jue viens te chercher demain matin pour aller à la prison de Makala; Lay sera libéré ce mercredi", m'a-t-il dit. il était 16h et le deuil de Sec Paudos, commençait à peine à se disperser.
Je dois avouer que j'ai fait des pieds et des mains, pour joindre' l'équipe de Mangembo à Melun, en attendant le lever du jour. En tout cas, la remise en liberté d'Evoloko, je vous assure, est loin d'être une faveur, d'autant qu'elle survient quelques jours après l'appel d'Hillary Clinton pour sanctionner ceux qui abusent de la faiblesse de la femme.
Comme l'a souligné le représentant du ministre de la justice, la législation en RDC, prévoit une mise en liberté conditionnelle, pour tout justifiable ayant purgé au moins le quart de sa peine, si une commission ad-oc juge son comportement exemplaire. Et c'est le cas d'Evoloko; condamné à 5 ans, il a déjà purgé 19 mois des 60 mois de sa peine.

L'artiste a profité justement de la cérémonie de remise en liberté et de la présence des médias, pour dire sa reconnaissance à l'endroit des autorités pénitentaires et judicaires, qui ont accédé à sa demande de remise en liberté.
